Visit one of the largest silk weaving factories in Europe!
A testament to an industry of excellence, the Soieries Bonnet offers an unforgettable experience where you can watch live demonstrations of weaving looms, interact with former workers, and admire unique fabrics designed for renowned fashion houses like Dior and Chanel. It’s a true immersion into the operations of a factory that once employed up to 1,200 people.
This Weekend's Program:
Sylvie BERRY, "Passion for Fashion"
Stylist, designer, and creator of exceptional garments, Sylvie Berry has been devoted to creating unique and custom-made pieces in her atelier in Ceyzériat, Ain, since 2007. A lover of colors and fabrics, her studies in custom design at La Martinière in Lyon, followed by Esmod International, led her down this path. Focused on crafting one-of-a-kind pieces for each of her clients, she has also gained recognition for creating special pieces for museum events, notably at the Bonnet Silk Museum and the Brou Museum. Her journey was recently honored by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ain with the title of Master Artisan of Art. She will be present at the Bonnet Silk Museum (in the cultural space, the site's former chapel) on September 21 and 22 to showcase remarkable pieces from her collections and to give fashion drawing demonstrations. She will also host fashion sketching workshops at the start of each hour (Site opening hours, free admission).
